Sheri-Ann Cowie, Ph.D

// Sheri-Ann Cowie, Ph.D., is an interdisciplinary faculty member at New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

// She promotes learning through experiential, applied, and dynamic contexts; she teaches the Counseling Lab and Group Dynamics courses to graduate students and has taught courses in Human Development at the under-graduate level. Cowie is the founding director of Children’s Century Limited LLC, a private psychology practice where she is actively engaged as a consultant and psychotherapist. Through interdisciplinary training, research, workshops, and educational partnerships, she consults and works closely with the faculty, staff, directors, and administrators with diverse social identities to facilitate learning about the relationship between anxiety and leadership. She is a member of the Philadelphia Area Group Psychotherapy Society as well as the A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems. She has experience working as a consultant as well as an administrator of group relations conferences that explore authority, leadership, and organizational dynamics of temporary institutions.
